This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data, in compliance with Law no. 22/11 — Personal Data Protection Law of the Republic of Angola.

Preliminary version

1. Who we are

The Dentista Angola platform is developed by the Dentista Angola team, based in Luanda. The data controller can be contacted at dpo@dentistangola.com.

2. Data we collect

We collect only the minimum necessary for the service to operate. Account data: name, email, password (cryptographic hash). Usage data: province, language, access technical logs. Professional data (for dentists and clinics): professional credentials document (OMA registration or equivalent), training, specialties, identification document. We do not collect sensitive clinical data at this stage — no active electronic medical record.

3. Processing purposes

Data is processed to: deliver the service, authenticate accounts, communicate with you, verify professional credentials, improve the platform, comply with legal obligations. We do not use your data for commercial purposes without your explicit consent.

4. Legal basis

Processing relies on your consent (articles 5 and 6 of Law 22/11), compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interest in operating a secure platform.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your data to third parties. We share only with: professionals you choose to contact, technical providers under confidentiality contract (hosting, email), competent authorities when required by law.

6. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. After you delete the account, the data is erased within a reasonable period, except when we are legally required to keep records.

7. Your rights

In accordance with Law 22/11, you have the right to: access your data, rectify it, delete it, object to processing, and port the data. To exercise these rights, contact dpo@dentistangola.com.

8. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data: in-transit encryption (TLS), hashed passwords, access control, audit logs. No system is 100% secure — in case of incident, we will communicate in a timely manner.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

This public page uses the minimum of cookies — only those necessary for operation. We do not use marketing cookies nor third-party tracking.

10. Minors

The platform is not intended for minors under 13. For minor patients, data processing depends on the legal representative's consent.

11. International transfers

Infrastructure services may be located outside Angola, in jurisdictions with equivalent protection regimes (EU). Transfers comply with applicable legal requirements.

12. Changes

This policy may be updated. The date of the last update appears at the top. Material changes will be communicated in advance.
